Empty Hand: Little Idea

First form of Wing Chun. An exercise practiced stationary throughout, it concentrates on training stability, balance, correct elbow position, protection of the centerline, linking the structure, economy of movement in attack/defense, and the development of chuen ging (inch power).

Empty Hand: Seeking Bridge

This second form teaches correct footwork and hand positions to avoid direct confrontation with an opponent’s force. It teaches passiveness, rather than fighting force head-on. Kicks are introduced in this form in conjunction with footwork.

Empty Hand: Shooting Fingers

Final empty hand form comprised of mostly attacking techniques. An extremely dangerous form. Its aim is to attack vital points of the body. Due to the inherent danger of this form, it is rarely used in student sparring practice and is mainly reserved for emergencies.

Dummy: Wooden Man Dummy Techniques

The dummy is a positioning tool to practice precise, simultaneous attack/defense movements, including short-range punches, palms, chops and kicks. A student can practice their full force and power, while toughening the bones and tissues of the arms and legs.

Weapon: 8 Slashing Knives - Twin Butterfly Sabers

The Butterfly swords consist of two short sabers. Ideal for close range and multiple opponents, every move is meant to kill or maim. The skills learned through this set can be transferred to one or two short weapons.

Weapon: Six 1/2 Point Pole - Long Pole

The long pole shows the student how to maximize the effectiveness of a long weapon. Like the empty hand system, no fancy movements are taught. Every move will cause serious damage.
